FAQ

Who are you?     Caproka. I'm an artist. I've been doing illustration work for years but I forced myself to learn Blender in a matter of months.

What are you doing and why?     Do you have something you always wanted to wear or use or see but didn't know how to get it in game?
     That's where I come in to help.     I'm teaching myself Blender, Marvelous Designer and Substance Painter by making mods as practice.
     So I'm offering a monthly slot, sort of like a commission, where I create a 3D item/mod designed by you.     I've wanted to test these skills by making mods, but I find my own ideas rather boring and love to be inspired by different people's tastes.     Doing this, I hope to improve and help others learn how to make their own items,
     as well as see their ideas made real if they're not so artistically/3D inclined.


Are you charging people when you make their mod design?
     No, the opposite. Monthly design submissions are more of a contest, anyway, with the prize being the item being created.
     I do not take commissions at this time. I only do private work for close friends.
     If you like my work, however, and wish to show your appreciation,
     I have a Ko-Fi Page where you can either tip me, or chose to pay for the mods (which are listed as free+) with whatever amount you like.

How are designs chosen?
     They're chosen anonymously by people on VerLux's Discord.


Can I submit an idea if I'm not an artist?     Absolutely. You can submit links to photos, real clothes/makeup/etc, or describe as best you can via text what you want made.
     However, try not to submit ideas that are copyrighted.


How do I submit an idea?     The entire process is as follows:

          _{1. Submit your idea here, at this link.          2. At the end of a submission period I will choose submissions that I feel that I could/would like to complete and create my own sketches of the ideas.
                This way, voting will be more fair as all submissions are judged by the same artistic merit.          3. A poll will be created with these sketches for members of the VerLux Discord server to vote on.          4. Members choose which item they like best, and at the end of the voting period, the item with the most votes will be made.}


I'm shy/want to submit anonymously, can I do that? 
     Yes. The Google form does not need you to be signed in.
     You'll be required to give a name but it doesn't need to be any one you actually use, or any one that I may know you by.

Do you have a Terms of Use?
     Each mod will may have different permissions specified in each pack, but overall TOU is as follows:     <sub>No commercial use of any assets I create, otherwise, go nuts, I can't stop you until money exchanges hands.

     Otherwise, designs submitted to VerLux are your design until I make the item,
      then the item becomes a collaboration, and I retain the rights to post it (the mod/3D item), use it and modify it as I choose.
      You, as the designer, are allowed to do the same.</sub>
